Anne Hathaway read a manuscript draft of Caro Claire Burke's debut novel 'Yesteryear' roughly two years before the book's April 2026 publication, bought the film rights herself, and attached to star and produce, per The Hollywood Reporter (10 August 2026). The novel — a tradwife influencer transported to the 19th century — later spent 17 weeks on the New York Times Best Sellers list. Amazon MGM Studios won the rights auction, the Larchmont Chronicle reported.
