Apple TV has greenlit 'Ascension,' a one-hour psychological horror thriller from Alfonso Cuarón, Variety reports. Caitríona Balfe stars as Rose, a documentary filmmaker investigating a 20th-century cult. Inspired by Adam Nevill's novel 'Last Days,' the series is co-written by Cuarón, Natalie Erika James and Christian White, who co-showrun. Apple Studios and Anonymous Content produce.
