BTS Will Not Submit Music for 69th Grammy Awards Despite New Asian Pop Category

BTS announced via Instagram they will not submit their album 'ARIRANG' or any other music for the 69th Grammy Awards. The Recording Academy created a new Best Asian Pop Music Performance category for the 69th ceremony. HYBE clarified the decision is specific to BTS, not a company-wide boycott. Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. said he was saddened but respected the decision.
