SEN lodges "Sydney Sirens" trademark days before Giants netball licence takeover

Sports Entertainment Network lodged a trademark application for "Sydney Sirens" four days before announcing its acquisition of the Giants' Super Netball licence in early August 2026. The name has belonged since 2005 to a self-funded amateur women's ice hockey club in the Australian Women's Ice Hockey League. IP Australia is reviewing the application. SEN said it is exploring a range of name options.
