Rangers name Derek McInnes as long-standing managerial target

Rangers CEO Jim Gillespie told the club's shareholder meeting on 10 August that Derek McInnes has been "high on the club's list for a long time" and fits the style and culture of Rangers. Gillespie wants a "Klopp-style" manager — front-foot, high-intensity, attacking football. McInnes nearly won the Scottish title with Hearts last season.
