Vadodara school addition bends around existing trees in boomerang-shaped plan

Habitat Collaborative, a Vadodara-based architecture practice, designed New Horizon — a 1,442-square-metre addition to the Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee School — in a boomerang-shaped plan that curves around mature trees already on the site. The two wings form a continuous loop around an open courtyard, housing classrooms, a library and a science room. Principal architect: Bhavik Thakkar. Commissioned by Round Table India.
