Ipswich break transfer record to sign Emersonn from Toulouse for £24m

Ipswich Town have signed 21-year-old Brazilian striker Emersonn from Toulouse for an initial £24m, a club record. He scored seven goals in 31 Ligue 1 appearances last season. No Ipswich player managed more than 10 non-penalty goals in the 2024-25 Championship campaign, so the need was clear. Only three promoted clubs have ever spent more in a summer window.
