
Yemen's Houthis Say They Attacked a Saudi Oil Facility After New Military Alliance
Yemen's Houthis said they attacked a Saudi oil refinery with a drone on 9 August 2026, two days after Saudi Arabia signed a military alliance with Turkey and Pakistan. A fire at the site was put out; no one was hurt. Saudi officials did not say what caused it. The alliance stems from conflict involving the US, Israel, and Iran. The Houthis said Saudi drone attacks prompted theirs.
