National's spending promises: two track with forecasts, one is ambitious

National has promised three things: the government earns more than it spends by 2028/29, debt stays below 40 percent of the economy's size, and government spending shrinks towards 30 percent of the economy. The first two match Treasury's forecasts. The spending cut is the hard one — it has been above 30 percent lately.
