14-Year-Old Kills Grandparents and Five Others at Thai School

On 7 August 2026, a 14-year-old boy killed his grandparents at home, then opened fire at his school in Bang Kruai, Thailand. Using his grandfather's gun, he fired at least 26 bullets, killing five people and injuring over 30, before killing himself. Officials gave different injury counts at first. Thailand has the highest rate of private gun ownership in Southeast Asia.
