Suno adds tools to identify AI-made music but won't require labels

Suno announced tools on August 6, 2026 to help identify AI-generated music, like digital watermarks hidden in songs. CEO Mikey Shulman said it is not Suno's place to "pass judgment" and that disclosure belongs to artists and platforms. The measures follow a Warner Music Group settlement that also brought download limits for paying subscribers.
