Google Wallet now lets parents give kids prepaid spending money on their phones

On August 6, 2026, Google launched a feature letting U.S. parents load prepaid spending money onto a child's phone for kids under 18. Children pay by tapping their Android phone or smartwatch wherever Google Pay works. Parents set spending limits, get alerts on purchases, and can lock the account remotely. No other countries are announced yet.
