
Qatar Says Talks to End U.S.-Iran War Are Progressing, Oil Prices Drop
Qatar said August 4 that talks to end the U.S.-Iran war and reopen a key shipping route are making progress, and oil prices fell. About a fifth of the world's oil and gas passes through that route. It has shut, reopened, then charged fees since March — each time moving prices temporarily. A lasting reopening is what would actually help.
