Labour would drop coalition business policy for new small business plan
Labour says it would scrap the coalition's Investment Boost and replace it with help for small businesses. Currently, firms can only write off equipment costing under $1,000 in one go. Labour would raise that to $10,000 — meaning small businesses pay less tax upfront when buying tools or machinery. Leader Chris Hipkins said owners would "keep more of what they earn."
