TechCrunch confirmed August 5 that a flaw in Apple's browser engine can reveal the real IP addresses of people using iCloud Private Relay. Since Apple requires every iPhone browser to use that engine, the leak affects all of them, not just Safari. Users who need IP privacy must use a full-device VPN.
