UN's top human rights official asks Iran to stop all executions

The UN's top human rights official, Volker Türk, called on Iran to stop all executions and end the death penalty entirely. Since March 19, Iran has executed at least 56 people for national security crimes, including 27 linked to protests. Türk said some confessed under torture, and twelve were sentenced to death in a single three-hour secret trial.
