UK watchdog waited three years to investigate cancer-causing pollution at Teesside plant

Benzene can cause cancer, and the WHO says no amount is safe. Emissions rose from 13 tonnes in 2022 to 17 tonnes in 2024. A Greenpeace scientist called the delay a "travesty." The watchdog is now considering legal action.
