Google and Apple health apps now talk to each other directly

Google Health version 5.05 now sends data back and forth with Apple Health on iPhone — workouts, sleep, vitals, and steps. Fitbit users no longer need paid go-between apps like Power Sync, which could slow data down or lose accuracy. Google Health replaced the standalone Fitbit app in May.
