Base Power, an Austin company co-founded by Zach Dell, raised $1 billion on August 3, 2026 — its second billion in ten months. Backers include Ribbit, Addition, Valor, JPMorganChase, CapitalG, Thrive, a16z, and Coatue. The company installs home battery systems that store electricity for later use, with over 500 megawatt-hours deployed across Texas and Illinois.
