Former PM: Government rushing laws to avoid public scrutiny

Former Prime Minister Sir Geoffrey Palmer says the government is using a rule called urgency to rush laws through Parliament without the usual public review by MPs. He says urgency should be reserved for genuine need, not convenience. The government rejects that.
