UK Government Tells Shops: Don't Overcharge as Iran War Pushes Prices Up

Chancellor John Healey told big shops the government will step in if they overcharge people as the Iran war raises prices. He said there is no proof shops are doing this yet. The Bank of England — the UK's central bank — warned the Iran conflict could push prices up by more than 4% next year.
