Mastercard Says Your Card Isn't Going Anywhere

On Mastercard's July 30 earnings call, CEO Michael Miebach and CFO Sachin Mehra addressed whether software that shops for you on its own, or digital coins called stablecoins, might replace credit cards. Mastercard's answer: no. The company said cards will still be at the center of how those future payments happen.
