Spotify Now Lets You Write Notes on Songs in Playlists

On July 30, 2026, Spotify introduced User Notes. Anyone 16 or older, on either the free or paid plan, can write a short text note next to a song in a playlist. Anyone who can open the playlist can read the note, and the writer's name links to their Spotify profile. The feature is available in select markets only. Details were confirmed by email; no public announcement was posted.
