Attack on U.S. Ship in Egypt Leads to American Strikes in Iran

A drone — a remotely controlled aircraft — struck the U.S.-owned ship Energos Winter at an Egyptian port on July 29, and fire spread to a second vessel. The U.S. military then bombed dozens of sites belonging to Iran's Revolutionary Guard, a powerful military force, saying the port attack and attempts to hit U.S. forces in Jordan justified it.
