PS5 App Lets Gamers Fund Solar Farms for $34.99 a Year

A startup called CleanPlay now lets PlayStation 5 owners help pay for solar farms through a $34.99/year or $3.99/month subscription, The Wall Street Journal reports. The app lives right on the PS5 and uses subscriber money to build new renewable energy projects that offset the electricity consoles use. Exactly how funds reach those projects isn't explained in the reporting.
