UK Watchdogs Raid Companies Behind Millions of Spam Texts About Car Loans

UK privacy regulators raided five companies in five cities on 29 July 2026, accusing them of sending 170 million spam texts about car loans. The public filed over 12 million complaints since September 2025 — up to 100,000 a day. Several watchdog groups are working together. One official warned: follow the rules or we will come for you.
