Google Earth Now Lets Users Create AI Images, Won't Say How It Labels Them

Google added an AI image tool called Nano Banana to Google Earth on July 30, 2026. Users can now generate AI-made images tied to real places. Google has not said whether these AI images will look different from the real satellite photos people already see on the platform. Without clear labels, fake images could be mistaken for real ones.
