Canada Sends Oil to Japan as Middle East Conflict Disrupts Supply

A ship hired by Exxon left Vancouver on July 29, 2026 carrying Canadian oil to Japan for the first time in over a year, per tracking firm Kpler. Eneos, Japan's biggest oil processor, is the buyer.
