Qualcomm Says Its Chips Will Cost More Starting September 1

Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon confirmed to CNBC on July 29, 2026 that the company's chips will see double-digit price increases from September 1, after alerting customers on July 24. Qualcomm blames rising memory costs and supply shortages. Some phone makers have already started using older, cheaper Qualcomm chips instead.
