Saudi Arabia Joins the Iran-U.S. War, Attacking Iran-Backed Fighter Groups in Iraq

On July 29, 2026, Saudi Arabia's military attacked Iran-backed fighter groups in Iraq, its Defense Ministry said. Until now, only U.S. and Iranian forces were fighting each other across several Middle Eastern countries. Now a third country has joined the war directly.
