Meta Plans to Spend More on AI as Profits Take a Hit

Meta plans to spend at least $130 billion in 2026 on AI infrastructure, up from an earlier $125 billion estimate. The same day, the company reported quarterly profits of $6.18 per share, below the $7.14 analysts expected, hit by $2.4 billion in legal costs and $1.18 billion in employee severance payments.
