FCC Blocks Foreign Robot Imports Over Spying Concerns

The FCC has banned new imports of foreign-made humanoid robots, robot dogs, and power inverters, citing spying and hacking risks. The rule uses the same national-security approach previously applied to Chinese phone-equipment makers like Huawei. These robots carry cameras, microphones, and constant internet connections. China's government pledged "all measures necessary" to protect its businesses. Robots already in use are unaffected.
