AI Company Workers Tell US Government: AI May Soon Improve Itself

More than 1,100 employees from seven major AI companies — OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta, Thinking Machines, Microsoft, and Mistral — signed a statement to the US government asking for international rules on AI development. They warn that AI may soon be able to do its own research, advancing faster than humans can keep up.
