Why Binance Cut Off Its European Customers
The EU's top financial watchdog privately warned member countries about possible crime risks at Binance, a major crypto exchange, the Wall Street Journal reported on July 1, 2026. Binance then blocked its European customers. This came after Binance failed to get a license under the EU's new crypto rules, which had already pushed hundreds of platforms out of Europe by June 2026. Binance plans to reapply.
