Luxon says National won't work with the Opportunity Party after next election
Prime Minister Christopher Luxon says National will not partner with the Opportunity Party after the 2026 election. He objects to the party's push for a land tax — a charge on land owners based on what their land is worth. Luxon dismissed the party's claim to sit in the political middle, saying: "They're as centrist as I am an All Black."
