NVIDIA Builds AI Security Team, Says Open AI Models Help Fight Hackers

NVIDIA launched the 27-member Open Secure AI Alliance on July 27, 2026, after a hack on the AI platform Hugging Face exposed limits in closed AI systems. Hugging Face used a freely available AI model to analyze over 17,000 actions and stop the attack. Members including Microsoft, SpaceX, and Dell argue open AI models are now needed for defense.
