Anti-Muslim Hate Crimes Rise in Britain as Big Muslim Gathering Steps Up Security

Anti-Muslim hate crimes in England and Wales rose 19% in the year to March 2025, government data shows. The Jalsa Salana, a major Muslim convention with 50,000 attendees from over 100 countries, added hundreds of extra security staff in Hampshire. UK community leader Rafiq Hayat said organisers never considered cancelling: "Not once. Not for a second."
