Trump Says Saudi Arabia Must Make Peace With Israel to Get Nuclear Deal
President Trump said July 24 that Saudi Arabia must formally establish peaceful relations with Israel to receive a 30-year U.S. nuclear cooperation deal signed July 22. The deal requires Saudi Arabia to pledge it will not enrich uranium — the process that can create nuclear fuel or weapons. Saudi Arabia has not responded. Congress now reviews the deal, whose success depends on a diplomatic breakthrough that hasn't happened yet.
