NHS pays out after missed cancer diagnosis kills mother of one
Helen Dutton was 35 when a doctor blamed her bleeding and bowel changes on common, harmless conditions. Two years later, another doctor found widespread cancer. She died in August 2021, aged 40. Her partner Darren Rosheski settled with the NHS for an undisclosed sum in January 2026. The NHS did not admit fault. Rosheski said: "I would rather be poor."
