Sony says it found over 30,000 of its songs used to train AI music app Udio

Sony used audio fingerprinting — a tool that recognizes songs by their unique sound patterns — on data from AI music app Udio obtained through legal proceedings. It identified over 30,000 allegedly copied recordings, from "Hound Dog" to "As It Was." Instead of arguing AI outputs sound similar, Sony is proving its songs were directly fed in — a tougher legal case to answer.
