Judge Puts Hold on $110 Billion Warner Bros. Deal

A federal judge paused Paramount Skydance's planned $110 billion purchase of Warner Bros. Discovery for 14 days starting July 20, 2026. Twelve state attorneys general, led by California's Rob Bonta, sued, arguing the deal would give the combined company too much power over movie distribution and cable TV. The Justice Department had cleared the deal in June.
