Iran and the US trade attacks across four countries

The US bombed Iranian military radar and defence sites on July 19 — the eighth night of strikes in a row. The US said it targeted Iranian forces behind an attack that killed two American soldiers in Jordan. Within hours, Iran said it struck back with drone attacks on US bases in Jordan and Kuwait, spreading the fighting across four countries.
