TikTok tests a tool to spot fake AI videos of real creators

TikTok is testing an optional tool that finds AI-made videos imitating enrolled US creators. Before scanning, creators prove who they are through Jumio, a service that checks a live selfie against a government ID. TikTok says it does not keep the ID and uses face data only to find fakes — unlike watermarks, which can be removed.
