Google Removes Hundreds of Apps That Create Fake Nude Images

Google told Wired it removed hundreds of apps that use AI to create fake nude images from its app store. Five were among 13 flagged by San Francisco City Attorney David Chiu in July 17 warning letters. Apple declined comment. The scale suggests a widespread platform issue, not just a few bad actors.
