South East Water says it could run out of money by July 2027

South East Water, supplying 2.4 million people across southern England, warns it may not survive past July 2027. The company has funds only until then and needs new loans that aren't yet agreed. Losses grew to £33 million despite a 7% bill rise. Credit rating agency Moody's downgraded it to junk, signaling high risk. Talks with lenders are "advanced" but not yet legally binding.
