U.S. Immigration Agents Arrest Chinese Rights Lawyer Working as Amazon Courier in Pennsylvania

U.S. immigration agents arrested Chinese human rights lawyer Wu Shaoping on July 17, 2026, in Mount Holly Springs, Pennsylvania, while he delivered Amazon parcels. Wu fled China in 2019 after defending persecuted groups, then asked the U.S. for protection in 2020. His request remained undecided nearly six years later. A July 27 hearing will decide whether he stays in custody.
