Netflix Says About 300 Shows Have Used AI, Mostly to Finish Filming

Netflix reported in its Q2 2026 earnings that about 300 of its titles have used generative AI — software that creates images or video on its own — mostly during post-production, the editing phase after filming. Examples include Glory, Brasil 70, and The American Experiment, where AI created crowd scenes, battle sequences, and landscape shots. Netflix said the tools produce higher quality work faster and cheaper.
