
Company owned by UAE government wants to run Lyttelton Port
DP World, a company owned by the United Arab Emirates government, wants to lease and run Lyttelton Port — the South Island's biggest port, handling over $7.5 billion in exports a year. The port is owned by CCHL, the company that invests Christchurch City Council's money. CCHL chairman Bryan Pearson said the council would be consulted before any decision is made.
