DoorDash builds an AI that orders your food for you

DoorDash launched a limited test on July 16, 2026, of dd-cli, a program for Mac users in the U.S. and Canada. An AI agent inside it can order food from start to finish — reading chat messages, picking items from menus, running calculations, fixing its own mistakes, and paying. CTO Andy Fang's demo shows the AI making real decisions along the way, not just following a script.
