U.S. Bancorp Reports $2.18 Billion Profit for Q2 2026

U.S. Bancorp earned $2,177 million, or $1.35 per share, in Q2 2026, the company said July 16. The Minneapolis-based bank's results show how large banks are faring as Federal Reserve interest-rate changes raise the cost of holding customer deposits. The quarter may also reflect early effects of its planned purchase of brokerage firm BTIG.
